How did my bedside alarm clock automatically update itself to comply with the forwarding of the clocks? I understand the technology that is responsible for cellular phones updating themselves. I know that a satellite manages the service, but what about the alarm clock. Is my alarm clock embedded with special sophisticated technology? Why would my lowly alarm clock be wired for that when it would be just as well if I manually adjusted it? If products get smarter, do we as humans get smarter too? Or are we being outsmarted by our possessions?
